When I was putting together Mylyfe, I thought it was very important for people to understand that what we wanted to do was to be able to provide the “next level” of service. We wanted to move beyond what we (I include myself because I too am a patient) typically experience with specialty pharmacies and others that are part of our care team. We also wanted to be able to provide you with the best experience possible, and for me, that means that we work to make life easier.
So, for Mylyfe, I had to figure out what we were going to call the people that are on the front line with you. These are the folks that will be your point of contact when ordering your medications and helping you along the way. They are the people that will help you keep on track with your medications, get you prepared for your doctor’s appointments, and share invaluable resources with you.
Health concierges are a unique category of care partners that sprung up in the mid ’90’s. While we are NOT a health concierge that charges a fee for service, we do appreciate many of the values that health concierges embrace and feel that the concept of a concierge best reflects how we want to serve our community. After some deep thought and research, I and my team decided on the title Patient Concierge.
